Mr. Musa Freiji
Founding Shareholder & Director
Mr. Musa Suleiman Freiji, Founding Shareholder & Director. Lebanese national, born in 1937.
Musa obtained a Bachelor of Science degree in Agricultural Engineering from the American University of Beirut in 1957. Musa is a life member of the World Poultry Science Association and co-founder of its branch in Lebanon. He has been a writer and lecturer of technical and poultry subjects since 1965. In the 1960s and 1970s, he played a major role in establishing export markets for Lebanese poultry production in the Arab World. His commercial experience in the poultry industry dates back to 1957 when he became the production manager at Greenleaf Poultry Company in Zahle, Lebanon until 1958. Thereafter, he established and managed thirteen poultry and poultry related operations in the Arab world of which seven are still operational. He has established projects in Lebanon, Syria, Jordan, Saudi Arabia, Egypt, and Sudan. He is the founder, shareholder and director in Tanmia, Lebanon, a poultry meat processing Company established in 1996 by the Lebanese shareholders of Wadi. Musa is a member of Audit sub-committee of Wadi Holdings.

Mr. Tony Freiji

Mr. Tony Suleiman Freiji, Wadi Group Chairman, Chief Executive Officer, and Shareholder. Lebanese national, born in 1958.
Tony S. Freiji is the younger brother of Mr. M. Freiji, and earned a Bachelor of Science degree in Agricultural Engineering from the American University of Beirut in 1981 and a Master of Science in Poultry Nutrition from Iowa State University in 1983. He has been with Wadi since 1984 and managed all ongoing production and commercial related activities as well as expansion projects. Tony is also a shareholder and director in Tanmia, Lebanon, a poultry meat processing company established in 1996 by the Lebanese shareholders of Wadi.

Mr. Ramzi P. Nasrallah

Mr. Ramzi Nasrallah, Vice-Chairman of Wadi Holdings, and Shareholder. Lebanese national, born in 1958.
Ramzi is responsible for the general administrative direction and control of the corporate financial functions of the Company, and oversees all audit activities and budget plans. Ramzi joined Wadi in 1984, at the time of establishment of their poultry companies, which are now consolidated under Wadi. He graduated in 1980 with a Bachelor in Business Administration from the University of Prince Edward Island, Canada followed by a Master in Business Administration, with a focus on finance, from the University of Houston (Texas) in 1982. Ramzi is also a shareholder and director in Tanmia, Lebanon, a poultry meat processing Company established in 1996 by the Lebanese shareholders of Wadi. Ramzi is a member of Nomination and Corporate Governance sub-committee of Wadi Holdings.

Mr. Khalil Nasrallah

Mr. Khalil Philip Nasrallah, Board Member. Chief Branding Officer, and Shareholder, Lebanese national, born in 1964.
Khalil joined Wadi Group in 1989 in the position of Agricultural Manager, and later appointed as Head of the Agrofood Sector until Dec 2018. Today, Khalil is responsible for all branding and communication activities in the Wadi Group as the Chief Branding Officer. He graduated in 1986 with a BS in Agriculture from the American University in Beirut, followed in 1989 by an MS in Horticulture from University of Guelph, Canada. Khalil is also a shareholder and Board Member of Tanmia, Lebanon, a poultry meat processing Company established in 1996 by the Lebanese shareholders of Wadi.

Mrs. Rima Freiji

Mrs. Rima Freiji, Director, Head of Governance Committee, and Shareholder. Lebanese national, born in 1969.
Rima joined Wadi in 2008 as its Corporate Affairs Advisor and moved to the position of CCDO in January 2011. Rima is responsible for advancing new initiatives that support the business and strengthen its institutional development. Rima graduated in 1991 from Emory University, Atlanta USA with a BA in Business Administration, followed in 1994 with a MA in International Economics and Management from SDA Bocconi University in Milan. Rima is a shareholder and Chairman of the Board of Tanmia, Lebanon, a poultry meat processing Company established in 1996 by the Lebanese shareholders of Wadi. Rima was appointed in 2012 as head of the Nomination and Corporate Governance board sub-committee of Wadi Holdings.

Mr. Ahmed Eid, Director, Head of the Audit Committee. Egyptian National.
Representing the Horus Food and Agribusiness Limited Partnership (Horus). Ahmed is a Director of Private Equity at EFG Hermes. He joined the firm in 2005, and has been primarily focusing on the manufacturing, financial services, utilities, and food sectors.Ahmed has worked on the evaluation, transaction execution, and implementation of post-acquisition strategies for several EFG Hermes Private Equity Funds with total investments in excess of USD 210 Million, and exits of USD 200 Million. Ahmed holds a B.A. in Economics from the American University in Cairo.

Representing Freiji Company interests in Wadi Group. Senior Lawyer and Managing Partner of Nasri Maalouf & Akram Maalouf Law Firm in Beirut, Lebanon. Akram is a member of the Lebanese Bar Association since 1993. He graduated with a French Master of Law from Lyon University (France) in 1993, followed by LLM in Criminal Law from Lebanese University (Beirut) in 1995, an MBA in Marketing & Management from École Supérieure des Affaires (Beirut) in 2002, and Enterprise & Investment Law Degree from IDLO (Rome) in 2004.

Mr. Gilles De Clerck

Mr. Gilles De Clerck, Board Member, French, Belgian, and Lebanese National, born in 1970.
Representing Europro investment fund and is the Co-founder and Executive Director of EuroMena Funds with Capital Trust Group in Lebanon. Gilles has extensive experience in strategic and management consultation in various industries and countries. He graduated in 1992 with a Bachelor of Commerce from McGill University in Canada, followed in 1994 with a Diploma from ESSEC Graduate School of Management in Paris. Mr. Mohamed Mahgoub, Vice President, Operations, Egyptian/American, born in 1979.
Mohamed joined Wadi Group in 2011 to establish the strategic business development department and strategy office. Mohamed has more than 18 years of experience in the areas of operations and projects management,
strategic planning and business development. He has assumed different positions in several industries Oil & Gas, Heavy Industries and Logistics, within Multinationals including ExxonMobil and CEMEX and regional investment companies Qalaa Holdings.
Mohamed holds a Bachelor degree from the Faculty of Engineering, Ain Shams University and has master degree in International Commercial Logistics from Arab Academy for Science, Technology and Maritime Transport.

Mr. Ahmed El Beheary

Mr. Ahmed El Beheary, Egyptian National born on the 13th of September 1976 in Berlin, Germany. Ahmed Joined Wadi in 2017 in the capacity of Chief Compliance Officer, responsible for crafting the people strategy for the group, turning talent into an instrument of business transformation that advances strategy, developing agile leaders, while instilling a high performance culture. He has over 20 years of experience in the area of Business development, Human Resources Management, Talent Management, Talent Acquisition, business plans, compensation & benefit plans, human capital development, employee motivation and retention, Performance management, fleet management, building management, security management, union negotiations across various industries and regions including Middle East , Africa , Europe and Asia.
Ahmed has worked for Multinational, International and local companies including Asiacell/Ooredoo Group, VEON, Orascom Telecom Holding, Djezzy, Amer Group, CEMEX, Seoudi Group, Egypt Call and Egypt Online.
Ahmed holds a Bachelor Degree in Business Administration for Development from City University Seattle – USA in 1996 and earned a Master of Business Administration, Marketing Management from City University Seattle - USA in 1997. As well as a Diploma in Professional Human Resources Management from American University in Cairo in 2003.

Mr. Ahmed Nabil
Trade & Logistics Division Head
Mr. Ahmed Nabil is the General Manager of Wadi Trade & Logistics Division, a company based in Lebanon specialized in the import and trade of soft commodities, mainly corn and soybeans. Mr. Ahmed is responsible for managing the entire process covering buying, pricing, hedging, shipping, local handling, and selling of the imported cargos. Mr. Ahmed is also responsible for the selling of soybean meal produced by the Wadi Group in Egypt and overseeing the importation and clearance of various materials and parts necessary for Wadi’s operations.
Mr. Ahmed was born in 1978 and holds a BA from the Arab Academy for Science, Technology & Maritime Transport and an MBA from the German University in Cairo. Mr. Ahmed joined Wadi Group in 2016. Throughout his career, Mr. Ahmed assumed multiple senior management and regional roles in diverse areas of expertise including commercial, logistics, supply chain and trading in the poultry, soft commodities, food & beverage and petroleum sectors.

Mr. Ahmed Rabei

Ahmed holds a Master of Business Administration from The American University in Cairo and a B.Sc. in Mechanical Engineering from Ain Shams University. Ahmed has more than 17 years of international expertise in project development from design to investment and asset management. Ahmed has a proven track record in structuring and implementing large-scale development ventures in animal nutrition industry and commercial sectors. Before joining Wadi in 2015, Ahmed held the position of General Manager with Serco Middle East in Abu Dhabi, UAE.

Mr. Ahmed Shokry
Chief Compliance Officer
Mr. Ahmed Shokry, Chief Compliance Officer, Egyptian/British national, born in 1977. Ahmed joined Wadi Group in 2014 in the capacity of Chief Internal Auditor and has successfully established the internal audit and risk management function. He is currently responsible for the strategic direction and execution of the Group Integrated Functions in order to improve business excellence. He leads the following functions; Supply Chain, Risk Management, Security & Governmental Affairs, Quality Assurance, Health & Safety and Group Administration. Ahmed has more than 17 years of international expertise in the field of Corporate Governance, Internal Audit, Risk Management and Advisory Services. He held management roles within professional services firms (Ernst & Young and PwC) and in-house functions (Colt Technologies). He was based in London for 10 years. Ahmed also serves as an Audit Committee Board Member of Tanmia Agriculture Development Company. Ahmed holds a Bachelor degree from the Faculty of Commerce and Business Administration, Helwan University in 1999. He is a Certified Internal Auditor (CIA) and a member of the UK Institute of Internal Auditors (IIA).

Mr. Ahmed Zewail

Mr. Ahmed Zewail, Head of Group Information Technology born on 1975. Ahmed joined Wadi Group in 2018 to lead the transformation of Information Technology all over the group. Ahmed has more than 22 years of experience in the areas of Digital Transformation, Strategic Planning, Projects Management, Change Management, Operations and Infrastructure Management, Information and Data Security Management, Sales, Pre sales and Lead management and Total Quality Management. He is investing on work experience in different business fields such as Telecom, Pharmaceuticals, Manufacturing, Food, Automotive, Governments, and Distribution Industries across diversified Arab countries (Egypt, North Africa, Gulf, and Levant). Ahmed has worked for leading companies in the Egyptian market including “WE” mobile operator, TE Data, Raya Gulf, Raya Saudi and Oratech. Ahmed holds a bachelor’s degree from the Faculty of Engineering, Alexandria University in 1997, Diploma in Software Development from Information Technology Institute – ITI in 1998 and has master’s degree in International Business Administration, General Management from ESLSCA – France in 2011. Ahmed is a candidate for the Doctoral Degree in Business Administration from Maastricht School of Management (MsM) – Netherland.

Mr. Mostafa Mehanna the General Manager of Wadi Food. He joined the group in Nov. 2018
Mostafa has Graduated from the American University in Cairo where he got a bachelor degree in Economics. Mostafa has more than 15 years experience in FMCG companies where he managed local and regional roles in Procter & Gamble, Pepsico, and finally Americana as North Africa & Levant market director managing 12 countries

Mr. Mohamed Sheta

Mohamed has a wide experience in the field of Sales and Marketing. He started his career as a Sales Engineer with Carrier for Air-Conditions. Then he joined AMI for Diesel Generator Manufacturing as Export Manager.
Later in 2007, he Joined GROHE as Key Accounts Manager, then was promoted to Territory Manager responsible for North Africa.
In 2014 he joined Ghabbour Farms as Export Manager, then was promoted to Sales Director in 2016. In May 2018 he Joined Rula as General Manager.

Mr. Puzant Dakessian
Poultry Division Head
Puzant Dakessian was appointed Chief of the Poultry Division at Wadi Group in late 2016. Puzant is responsible for managing and establishing Wadi Poultry Operations and production throughout Africa. Mr. Dakessian has nearly 20 years of experience in the poultry industry, specializing poultry management, business development, and layer and broiler performance.
Prior to joining Wadi Group, Mr. Dakessian worked for Aviagen Limited, UK for nearly 15 year, reaching the position of International Commercial Manager for the Middle East and Africa for where he helped increase the market share of Aviagen through increased sales of AA GPs and PS, developed and created new markets, and worked with the technical team to provide customer support and coverage. During his tenure, he increased GP sales across Algeria, Egypt and Nigeria and launched sales in new markets including Tanzania and Kuwait.
Mr. Dakessian holds a Bachelor’s of Science in agriculture and a Diploma of Ingenieur Agricole, both from the American University in Beirut, as well as a masters ( MSc) degree in Poultry Sciences (MSc) from the same university. He has successfully completed an extensive range of continuing education courses and seminars and published several practical articles about poultry management in regional magazines in both Arabic and English languages".
