Mr. Musa Freiji

Mr. Musa Suleiman Freiji, Chairman of the Board of Directors, Shareholder. Lebanese national, born in 1937. Founder and Chairman of the Company, Musa obtained a Bachelor of Science degree in Agricultural Engineering from the American University of Beirut in 1957. Musa is a life member of the World Poultry Science Association and co-founder of its branch in Lebanon. He has been a writer and lecturer of technical and poultry subjects since 1965. In the 1960s and 1970s, he played a major role in establishing export markets for Lebanese poultry production in the Arab World. His commercial experience in the poultry industry dates back to 1957 when he became the production manager at Greenleaf Poultry Company in Zahle, Lebanon until 1958. Thereafter, he established and managed thirteen poultry and poultry related operations in the Arab world of which seven are still operational. He has established projects in Lebanon, Syria, Jordan, Saudi Arabia, Egypt, and Sudan. He is the founder, shareholder and director in Tanmia, Lebanon, a poultry meat processing Company established in 1996 by the Lebanese shareholders of Wadi. Musa is a member of Audit sub-committee of Wadi Holdings.
Mr. Tony Freiji
President, Chief Executive Officer and Shareholder
Mr. Tony Suleiman Freiji, Wadi Group President, Chief Executive Officer, and Shareholder. Lebanese national, born in 1958. Tony S. Freiji is the younger brother of Mr. M. Freiji, and earned a Bachelor of Science degree in Agricultural Engineering from the American University of Beirut in 1981 and a Master of Science in Poultry Nutrition from Iowa State University in 1983. He has been with Wadi since 1984 and managed all ongoing production and commercial related activities as well as expansion projects. Tony is also a shareholder and director in Tanmia, Lebanon, a poultry meat processing Company established in 1996 by the Lebanese shareholders of Wadi.
Mr. Ramzi P. Nasrallah
Vice President and Shareholder
Mr. Ramzi Nasrallah, Vice-President of Wadi Holdings, and Shareholder. Lebanese national, born in 1958. Ramzi is responsible for the general administrative direction and control of the corporate financial functions of the Company, and oversees all audit activities and budget plans. Ramzi joined Wadi in 1984, at the time of establishment of their poultry companies, which are now consolidated under Wadi. He graduated in 1980 with a Bachelor in Business Administration from the University of Prince Edward Island, Canada followed by a Master in Business Administration, with a focus on finance, from the University of Houston (Texas) in 1982. Ramzi is also a shareholder and director in Tanmia, Lebanon, a poultry meat processing Company established in 1996 by the Lebanese shareholders of Wadi. Ramzi is a member of Nomination and Corporate Governance sub-committee of Wadi Holdings.
Mr. Khalil Nasrallah
Chief AgroFood Sector and Shareholder
Mr. Khalil Philip Nasrallah, Board Member. Agrofood Sector Head, and Shareholder, Lebanese national, born in 1964. Khalil joined Wadi Group in 1989 in the position of Agricultural Manager, and later appointed as Executive Manager and then Sector Head after the formation of the Agrofood Sector. Khalil is responsible for all agricultural and food processing activities in the Wadi Group. He graduated in 1986 with a BS in Agriculture from the American University in Beirut, followed in 1989 by an MS in Horticulture from University of Guelph, Canada. Khalil is also a shareholder and Board Member of Tanmia, Lebanon, a poultry meat processing Company established in 1996 by the Lebanese shareholders of Wadi.
Mrs. Rima Freiji
Director, Head of Governance Committee and Shareholder
Mrs. Rima Freiji, Director, Head of Governance Committee, and Shareholder. Lebanese national, born in 1969. Rima joined Wadi in 2008 as its Corporate Affairs Advisor and moved to the position of CCDO in January 2011. Rima is responsible for advancing new initiatives that support the business and strengthen its institutional development. Rima graduated in 1991 from Emory University, Atlanta USA with a BA in Business Administration, followed in 1994 with a MA in International Economics and Management from SDA Bocconi University in Milan. Rima is a shareholder and Chairman of the Board of Tanmia, Lebanon, a poultry meat processing Company established in 1996 by the Lebanese shareholders of Wadi. Rima was appointed in 2012 as head of the Nomination and Corporate Governance board sub-committee of Wadi Holdings.
Mr. Ahmed Eid
Director, Head of the Audit Committee
Mr. Ahmed Eid, Director, Head of the Audit Committee. Egyptian National. Representing the Horus Food and Agribusiness Limited Partnership (Horus). Ahmed is a Director of Private Equity at EFG Hermes. He joined the firm in 2005, and has been primarily focusing on the manufacturing, financial services, utilities, and food sectors.Ahmed has worked on the evaluation, transaction execution, and implementation of post-acquisition strategies for several EFG Hermes Private Equity Funds with total investments in excess of USD 210 Million, and exits of USD 200 Million. Ahmed holds a B.A. in Economics from the American University in Cairo.
Mr. Akram Malouf
Mr. Akram Nazmi Maalouf, Board Member, Lebanese National, born in 1969. Representing Freiji Company interests in Wadi Group. Senior Lawyer and Managing Partner of Nasri Maalouf & Akram Maalouf Law Firm in Beirut, Lebanon. Akramis a member of the Lebanese Bar Association since 1993. He graduated with a French Master of Law from Lyon University (France) in 1993, followed by LLM in Criminal Law from Lebanese University (Beirut) in 1995, an MBA in Marketing & Management from École Supérieure des Affaires (Beirut) in 2002, and Enterprise & Investment Law Degree from IDLO (Rome) in 2004.
Mr. Gilles De Clerck
Mr. Gilles De Clerck, Board Member, French, Belgian, and Lebanese National, born in 1970. Representing Europro investment fund and is the Co-founder and Executive Director of EuroMena Funds with Capital Trust Group in Lebanon. Gilles has extensive experience in strategic and management consultation in various industries and countries. He graduated in 1992 with a Bachelor of Commerce from McGill University in Canada, followed in 1994 with a Diploma from ESSEC Graduate School of Management in Paris. Gilles was appointed in 2012 as head of the Auditing board sub-committee of Wadi Holdings.
Mr. Ahmed Shokry

Mr. Ahmed Shokry, Chief Business Officer, Egyptian / British national, born in 1977. Ahmed joined Wadi Group in 2014 in the capacity of Chief Internal Auditor and has successfully established the internal audit and risk management function. He is currently responsible for the strategic direction and execution of the Group Integrated Functions in order to improve business excellence. He leads the following functions; Supply Chain, Risk Management, Security & Governmental Affairs, Quality Assurance, Health & Safety and Group Administration. Ahmed has more than 17 years of international expertise in the field of Corporate Governance, Internal Audit, Risk Management and Advisory Services. He held management roles within professional services firms (Ernst & Young and PwC) and in-house functions (Colt Technologies). He was based in London for 10 years. Ahmed also serves as an Audit Committee Board Member of Tanmia Agriculture Development Company. Ahmed holds a Bachelor degree from the Faculty of Commerce and Business Administration, Helwan University in 1999. He is a Certified Internal Auditor (CIA) and a member of the UK Institute of Internal Auditors (IIA).
Mr. Essam El Behery

Mr. Essam Behery: Chief Commercial Officer Mr. Essam Behery, Egyptian national, born in 1970. He joined Wadi Group in 2011 as a General Manager responsible for the overall management of the group’s Industrial Operations, including A'laf, Tabreed Egypt /Turkey, Idafat Soya Plant, MCP Plant, and NSSC. In 2017 Essam was appointed as Chief Commercial Officer responsible for the group’s commercial strategy, working very closely with sector heads to establish the sales and commercial strategy and the development of Business Sectors. It typically involves activities relating to marketing, sales, product development and customer service to drive business growth and market share. He is primarily concerned with ensuring the integrated commercial success of an organization. Essam takes ownership of the customers and the customers interface with the products and service offering, making sure that all functions of the organization are aligned to meet its strategic commercial objectives. This means that they are closely linked to the organization's strategic management function, in drafting, implementing and evaluating cross-functional decisions that will enable an organization to achieve its long-term objectives. Essam has more than 22 years of international expertise and Management Experience previously, General Manager of SGS Egypt the world largest Inspection, testing and verification services, Essam had a successful proven track records in results achievements, through performing several assignments in various business aspects helping in building teams and setting business disciplines and business practices locally and within Europe, Africa and Middle East. Essam is a Technical Governance Auditor from SGS Geneva in 2006, as well as a certified Lead Auditor Quality Systems from the European Quality Institution, Brussels, Belgium in 1997. Essam, holds a BSC of Industrial Engineering 1994 From Alexandria University in Egypt, a Diploma as a Registered Lead Auditor Quality Systems (International Registered Council for Auditors UK) in 1996, and a holder of Master Degree in Business Administration since 2004.
Abd El Aziz Kamel
Chief Information Officer, Wadi Group
Abd El Aziz Kamal was appointed Chief Information Officer at Wadi Group in late 2016. Mr. Kamel has nearly 25 years of experience as an IT professional with areas of expertise in leadership/management of Enterprise-scale solution development, ICT optimization, and relationship management leveraging best practices of digital transformation and alignment of IT goals with enterprise objectives. His responsibilities as Wadi Group CIO include, among other tasks, leading the IT team to develop and execute the digital transformation strategy that creates completive edge to the group supporting the vertical/horizontal growth. Prior to joining Wadi Group, Mr. Kamel was the IT Director at TE Data for eight years where he was recognized for consistent achievements in cutting-edge information systems management, team management and cost-effective systems implementation, operations and its optimization. Mr. Kamel also worked at Raya IT as a General Manager, Algerian de Telecommunications as a Billing and Applications Senior Manager, and Oratech Information Technology as Consulting Services Manager and Dubai ports as business applications manager. Mr., Kamel holds a Bachelor of Science in Business from Ain Shams University, Cairo, Egypt in 1992, and participated in the Logic Executive Program (LEP) at the UK Institute of Leadership & Management, London. He is a Project Management Professional (PMP) and Oracle Certified Professional (OCP).
Mr. Puzant Dakessian
Chief, Poultry Sector, Wadi Group
Puzant Dakessian was appointed Chief of the Poultry Sector at Wadi Group in late 2016. Puzant is responsible for managing and establishing Wadi Poultry Operations and production throughout Africa. Mr. Dakessian has nearly 20 years of experience in the poultry industry, specializing poultry management, business development, and layer and broiler performance. Prior to joining Wadi Group, Mr. Dakessian worked for Aviagen Limited, UK for nearly 15 year, reaching the position of International Commercial Manager for the Middle East and Africa for where he helped increase the market share of Aviagen through increased sales of AA GPs and PS, developed and created new markets, and worked with the technical team to provide customer support and coverage. During his tenure, he increased GP sales across Algeria, Egypt and Nigeria and launched sales in new markets including Tanzania and Kuwait. Mr. Dakessian holds a Bachelor’s of Science in agriculture and a Diploma of Ingenieur Agricole, both from the American University in Beirut, as well as a masters ( MSc) degree in Poultry Sciences (MSc) from the same university. He has successfully completed an extensive range of continuing education courses and seminars and published several practical articles about poultry management in regional magazines in both Arabic and English languages".
Dr. Eva Wuellner
Chief People Officer
Dr. Eva Wuellner, Chief People Officer, German national, born in 1966. Eva joined Wadi in 2015 and is responsible for the HR, Personnel and Administration departments. Eva has more than 23 years of expertise in the field of Human Resources with specialization in Labor Law and Talent Management and has worked in multinational corporations headquartered in Europe, the United States and Japan (Unilever, Amazon, Fanuc Robotics). She has gained a broad cultural and professional expertise while working in Germany, Luxembourg, Russia, Hungary and Czech Republic and responsible for 17 different countries from Ireland to Azerbaijan. Eva holds a Doctorate of Business Administration from Surrey Business School in the UK in 2015, a Master of Business Administration in General Management from EUFOM University for Economics and Management in Luxembourg in 2009, and a Master of Science in Economics and Business Administration from University of Passau, Germany in 1992.
Mr. Mohamed Mahgoub

Mr. Mohamed Mahgoub, Chief Strategy Officer, Egyptian/American, born 1979. Mohamed joined Wadi Group in 2011 and established the strategic business development department and strategy office, he is responsible for overseeing Group Strategy Development, Execution and Resources Optimization as well as leading group strategic initiatives. Mohamed has more than 14 years of experience across Egypt in Strategic Planning, Corporate Development and Projects Management. He has assumed different positions in several industries Oil & Gas, Heavy Industries and Logistics, within Multinationals (ExxonMobil and CEMEX) and regional investment companies (Qalaa Holdings). Mohamed holds a Bachelor degree from the Faculty of Engineering, Ain Shams University and has master degree in International Commercial Logistics from Arab Academy for Science, Technology and Maritime Transport.

Mr. Ramy Youssef, Chief Financial Officer, Egyptian national, born in 1976. Ramy joined Wadi Group in Q1 2015 in the capacity of Chief Financial Officer. Ramy has 20 years of experience in the areas of financial management, economic evaluations and structuring commercial ventures across various industries and regions, including Angola, UK, and the Middle East. He has worked for international firms including Henkel, Shell and BP. Ramy holds a Bachelor of Arts in Business Administration from the Arab Academy for Science and Technology, Alexandria in 1996 and earned a Master of Business Administration in Finance from the American University in Cairo in 2007.
Mr. Roger Darouni

Mr. Roger Darouni, Chief Marketing Officer, Lebanese national, born in 1956. Joined Wadi Group in 2011. He is an Executive Committee member with strategic branding and Marketing responsibilities at the group & subsidiaries level. Roger has more than 20 years’ experience in marketing & communication in the ME & African markets. Communication skills developed with a Multinational Advertising Agency-Leo Burnett on a blue chip Health and Beauty Care Multinational Client and expanded with wider ranging responsibilities in the FMCG, Financial Services , Retail Product Sectors, automotive & Telecom. Roger holds a Bachelor of Business Administration from the American University of Beirut, Lebanon in 1980 and attended more than 30 executive programs in communication & management related disciplines. He is certified consultant in negotiation skills.
